Installation of renewable energy resource production capacities at Elinta motors

In 2023, UAB “Elinta motors” started implementing the project „Installation of renewable energy resource production capacities at Elinta motors, UAB“. With this project, the company aims to install a solar power plant, which will allow the company to use the produced electricity for its own internal needs and at the same time reduce the consumption of traditional energy, thereby contributing to the reduction of air pollution.

Project will be implemented in accordance with the 2022‒2030 European Union Funds Investment Program and Economic Revitalization and Resilience Increasing Plan “NextGenerationEU” 2022-2030 Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Program Progress Measure No. 05-001-01-04-02 “Encourage companies to move towards a climate-neutral economy” activity “Encourage the introduction of renewable energy resources in industrial enterprises (Central and Western Lithuania region)”.

The total value of the project (the sum of eligible and ineligible expenses) is 79,555.41 euros, of which 43,980.58 euros is allocated from the European Regional Development Fund. This amount will cover 69.9 percent of the eligible costs of the project and thus will contribute strongly to the company’s ability to achieve the project’s goals.

Project implementation period: March 3rd, 2023 – July 31th, 2025

800V SiC Powertrain

Development of next generation SiC powertrain with up to 600 kW and 2500 Nm includes new HV Architecture, SiC inverters and 800V battery system development. Project is partially funded by EU grants.

The project will be implemented in accordance with the measure No. 1 of the Lithuanian European Union Funds Investment Operational Program Priority 1 “Promotion of Research, Experimental Development and Innovation” for 2014–2020. 01.2.1-LVPA-K-856 “ Experiment ”.

An amount of € 294,539.71 was allocated from the European Regional Development Fund for the implementation of the project . This amount will cover 42 % of the project budget of € 707,436.34 , thus contributing to the company’s ability to achieve its objectives.

The project is planned to be implemented by the 31st of December, 2022.

Funded as part of the EU’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hybrid Bio-methane tractor

Elinta Motors and AUGA group, Europe’s largest vertically integrated organic food producer, has developed and presented the world’s first hybrid biomethane and electric tractor for professional farm use – AUGA M1. This is the company’s first step in offering technological solutions that will eliminate climate pollution throughout the food supply chain, from field to table, and allow food to be produced with no cost to nature.

When operating under normal conditions that do not require high power, the tractor stores the generated energy reserve in the batteries. Such a system does not waste energy in low load conditions, uses a relatively small but efficient motor and is able to extract tremendous power when needed. These solutions allow the tractor to work for up to 12 hours.

Powered by 3x LCM.31.110 motors providing peak power of more than 450 kW.

360 kW Nominal Output

Performance compares with highest power diesel tractors, while output torque reaches 180.000 Nm on wheels at 0 RPM.

12h of operation

Using replaceable bio-gas cartridge - tractor can operate 12 hours in field between a need to recharge.

EURO 7 Phev test fleet

Elinta Motors with ALTAS and Kauno Autobusai lauched a fleet of 6 PHEV low floor city busses with intelligent green zone emission control.

Using cloud based route planning system – each bus selects driving mode automatically switching to full EV Operation where necessary, while reporting fuel consumption and tracking emissions online. PHEV systems allows bus to drive up to 350-400 km in daily operations, including 60-80 km in pure EV mode in selected green zones.

Over 1 year test period – busses have covered more than 450.000 km while saving up to 50t of CO2. Online emission tracking is considered to be mandatory in PHEV’s with EURO 7 requirements in 2025.

190 kW combined power

120 kW diesel engine and 120 kW electric motor has total system output of 190 kW, while reducing CO2 emissions.

Emission online tracking

Using cloud based fleet management - emissions are tracked and driving mode is controlled to guarantee maximum EV mode usage per daily route.
